I am very proud to work as both a Midwife and Lactation Consultant. I have been a Registered Midwife since 2013, and have held Midwifery Endorsement since 2017. Breastfeeding and postpartum care have always been big passions of mine, and I now work primarily as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I also work as a Midwifery educator.
I provide gentle, holistic, individualised, evidence-based care, and am passionate about empowering families to make informed choices. It is a privilege to help families navigate the magic and challenges of the postpartum period, supporting feeding, biological infant sleep and development, and responsive parenting. I also have a strong interest in nutrition and holistic health.
I was born and raised in the beautiful Lake District in England, with three years spent living in Italy. I obtained my Honours Degree in Midwifery from the University of York, following which I spent three years working as a Caseload Midwife in Cheshire, England. During this time I also trained as a Hypnobirthing teacher.
I moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2016, to settle in the country I love. I jumped straight into undertaking postgraduate studies to become an Endorsed Midwife. My first eight years in Australia were spent working as a Private Midwife, providing caseload care within a private midwifery group practice, and as a childbirth educator. I have since worked in a variety of maternity settings, including a private clinic, hospital, and a postpartum specialist centre. I currently work as a parent educator, teaching classes in birth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and infant first aid, and as a student midwife educator. I also hold a position as an IBCLC at a private clinic.
I live in Bayside Melbourne, and can often be found on the coastal trails, or heading down the Mornington Peninsula to seek out nature. I provide compassionate and professional support, and believe all women and babies should be held and nurtured as they transition into, and journey this new season of life.
